Fiat 500 Servicing
Servicing at 18,000 mile intervals
- Check tyre condition for wear and adjust tyre pressure if required
- Check lighting operation: (headlights, direction indicators, hazard warning lights, luggage compartments, passenger compartment, glove compartment, instrument panel warning lights etc.)
- Check operation of windscreen wash / wipe system, adjust jets if necessary
- Check front and rear disc brake pads for condition and wear
- Visually inspect condition of: engine, gearbox, transmission, exterior bodywork, under body protection, rigid and flexible pipes (exhaust, fuel system and braking system), rubber elements (boots, hoses, bushes, etc.)
- Check cleanliness of bonnet and tailgate lock, clean and lubricate linkages
- Check adjust handbrake lever travel and adjust if necessary
- Check exhaust gas emission
- Check and if necessary, top up fluid levels (brakes / hydraulic clutch, windscreen washer, engine cooling, battery charge and battery fluid level (electrolyte))
- Replace spark plugs
- Check operation of engine management sytsem (using Examiner)
- Change engine oil and replace oil filter (excluding version with esseesse kit) (or every 24 months)
- Change pollen filter
- Road test vehicle
Other operations at different intervals includes:
- Visually inspect condition of various drive belts
- Replace auxiliary drive belt/s
- Check anti-evaporation system
- Replace air filter cartridge
- Inspect condition of toothed timing drive belt
- Replace the toothed timing belt
- Change brake fluid
